Self-Manifested Deities

‘Self-Manifest Deities’ was written by Swami B.G. Narasingha on October 16th 2006. At the time of writing this essay, a phenomena of milk-drinking deities of Gaṇeśa was occurring in India. Narasingha Maharaja addresses this briefly, then gives a history of self-manifest Deities, and finally discusses the Deities established by Prabhupāda in Māyāpura and how they have been eclipsed.

A Little Distant and Below

‘A Little Distant and Below’ was written by Śrīla B.G. Narasiṅgha Mahārāja in 1996 as a letter to some of his godbrothers and godsisters in his mission. In this letter, Narasiṅgha Mahārāja discusses an article by Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja (‘Fools Rush in Where Angels Fear to Tread’) which explains how higher topics of kṛṣṇa-līlā should be dealt with.

The Importance of Mahāprabhu

“The Importance of Mahāprabhu” is a previously unpublished article written by Śrīla Narasiṅgha Mahārāja in 1998 in response to a question concerning the divinity of Mahāprabhu in regards to the verse ‘ārādhyo bhagavān vrajeśa tanayas.’ This article ends abruptly, so it is possible that Śrīla Narasiṅgha Mahārāja never completed it.

Śrī Śrī Gaura Rādhā-Mādhava & the Temple of Misunderstanding

“Śrī Śrī Gaura Rādhā-Mādhava & the Temple of Misunderstanding” was written by Śrīla B.G. Narasiṅgha Mahārāja in November 2017. Mahārāja first gives a brief history of ancient Vaiṣṇava Deities, then explains the ontology of Gaura-Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa, and goes on to explain how Iskcon has deviated from the original Deity concept that Śrīla Prabhupāda initially established in Māyāpura.

Avatāras in Every Species

“Avatāras in Every Species” is an article adapted from a class give on Śrīla Prabhupāda’s disappearance day, on October 31st 2000 at Rādhā-Dāmodara Temple by Śrīla Narasiṅgha Mahārāja. He explains how the Supreme Lord advents in every species of life to create auspiciousness for all living entities.
