A duty of a guru is not to attack senior vaiṣṇavas (09/20/16)

Dear _______ Mahārāja,

Thank you for your immediate response.

The lecture of R ______ that is causing all the stir was given Oct 8th, 2014. So it is easy to say that was years ago, but the problem is that it is on YouTube and possibly other sites and devotees view it and are absorbing the poison day by day. My point is that his talk is viewed daily by devotees and it should be dealt with as if he had spoke this nonsense yesterday.

The duty of a guru is to preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness – not to attack and offend senior Vaiṣṇavas in our sampradāya.  R_____ is entitled to whatever twisted views he fancies, but airing such view’s becomes a grave offence.

Back in 2002, and the years before, the reform movement in iskcon had traced the start of their problems down to the zonal ācārya system and had wrongly concluded that Śrīdhara Mahārāja was the cause. However that was disproved, but the GBC never pursued the question of  “Who then was responsible for the zonal ācārya system?”

The people who started the zonal system were the top leaders of iskcon, most of which are either dead or in māyā – but not all of them, like J_____ and H_______, who continue to mislead the movement in the name of being a “Prabhupāda man!”

A simple, “Ok, I’m sorry” won’t do, or even another ‘resolution’ that nobody reads. R_______ needs to be reprimanded and he should take down that video wherever it exists as well as make a public video apology.

I wish you all success on your mission.

Your servant,

Swami Narasiṅgha
