A Golden Opportunity (10/27/05)
G___ Mahārāja,
Please ask Narasiṁha Mahārāja if he will be happy with us for not using the word “Adbhūta mandira” and thus respect our previous ācāryas, then will he join us to build the big temple of understanding to please his guru Śrīla Prabhupāda? If not then request Mahārāja at least to pray for us to fulfill Śrīla Prabhupāda’s desire by building this temple.
This is a golden opportunity. A one in a million chance that we could influence Iskcon to build the Temple of Understanding with the proper ontological (spiritual) understanding. Otherwise they are destined to build the ‘temple of misunderstanding’.
Please reply to BP Swami and inform him in a polite and gracious manner that we are very happy receive his reply and that I (Narasiṅgha Mahārāja) would be most happy and enthusiastic to be of some humble service in building the “Temple of Understanding” as per Śrīla Prabhupāda’s desire.
I am open to any ideas that the SMPDC might have of how I might serve their endeavor, and I would also like to prepare a short statement about the “Temple of Understanding” to be sent to the SMPDC and the other GBC members explaining some of the history about the conception of the “Temple of Understanding” and its intended ontological perspective according from its inception.
We will be very eager to hear back from BP Swami and the SMPDC at their earliest convenience.
Make sure you express all these things clearly and nicely to BP Swami, but do not mention Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja at this point. Also save all this correspondence for the records.
There is a chance that we can at least present the ontological conception of the Temple of Understanding as per the vision of Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja to the GBC and SMPDC . Let’s give it a try.
