Lord Narasiṁhadeva is not involved in household problems, or in fulfilling material desires. He helps to remove obstacles, not make a happy home. Yoga-Narasiṁha is best for householders. If you have the mahā-mantra, then any other kavaca is inferior. These are the answers along with whatever else you want to answer.
Also tell this person that he should be approaching his guru about these things.
