I Feel Sorry for Such People (04/10/12)

Dear B___,

It is unfortunate that so many devotees like A____ have to go thru so many gurus before they can actually find clear guidance and shelter. It’s really a mess and I feel sorry for such people. But in a case where it is very complicated such as A____’s, then I think that the best thing is for him to continue and just try to make a śikṣā connection to our mission. I am facing similar situations with devotees here in Europe and my conclusion is that they should go forward based on śikṣā.

So as long as A____ is cooperating nicely with you and accepting the ācārya of our mission as the śikṣā-guru, then it is okay, he can continue his service. It is not perfect, but it is the best that we can do at this time.

J_____ and B____ are in a similar situation. They were disciples of H_____ Goswami for more than 20 years, but they have absolutely no good feelings or connection to him. Yet they have never approached me to hear the mantras again, to get japa beads, a new name, or anything. You would think that under the circumstances that they would like some formal connection with me, but they have never shown any such interest. In fact, you will remember that B____ even said, “We don’t do everything that Guru Mahārāja says.”

So their situation is not actually that good for their advancement in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, but there is little I am able to do about it except continue to make śikṣā available and see what happens in the future.

So continue as is with A_____ and let us see what turns out in the future.

Gaura Haribol,
Swami Narasingha
