Kṛṣṇa May Show a More Substantial Plan… (08/15/12)

Dear ______,

I spoke with ________about this and he pointed out rather correctly that ______does not like India and whenever he has been here he has a condescending attitude toward India and even the Indian devotees. ______ once expressed to me that he was more happy in BLR than at Govindajī Gardens and nothing has changed here to make that any different.

The problem is, the boy just doesn’t have his act together or a realistic view about material life or spiritual life.

I don’t think he would be happy anywhere in Mexico either. I like ______ and as my disciple I am concerned about him, but it is completely perplexing on how to decide what is best for him or how to get him to do it even if I could decide what he should do.

With ______ I think it is a personality problem. He is very introverted socially…like, he is a bit of a dweeb. And not to mention that ______ has come to like his independance, even though he doesn’t use it very wisely.

So Mexico is out and coming to India doesn’t seem worthwhile to me either. Better to wait for now and see if Kṛṣṇa shows us a more substantial plan in the meantime.

Lets talk more later.

Gaura Haribol,
Swami Narasingha

PS: “Any man with a successful family life is more or less doomed spiritually. Material frustration and failure are the real realities of the material world and any thing that is not purely for the service of Guru, Kṛṣṇa and the Vaiṣṇavas ultimately brings misery.” (The Anonymous Monk)
