Looks Are Important When You Are Running a Mission (09/11/10)

_____ Mahārāja,

YES, I am sure I will like the offering when it is ready. But when your offering is not in the Vyāsa-pūjā book, it really does not look good. And this is not the first time.

Before we offer something grander or more complicated, we must first fulfill the basic expectations and a sannyāsī of your status is expected to make the primary offering or write an article for the Vyāsa-pūjā book every year. The only thing I can think of that is more frustrating is N_____ who has never written a Vyāsa-pūjā offering for the book. These things do not look good in the eyes of the devotees. And “looks” are important when you are running a mission and trying to inspire the devotees and disciples. When your offering is not there, it is too much noticeable.

I hope that starting next year that your offering will always be in the Vyāsa-pūjā book for as long as it is ever printed.

Gaura Haribol,

Swami
