Nothing is Gained Without Kṛṣṇa Consciousness (06/26/12)

The word ‘kleśo’ (kleśa) in Verse Five, meaning with difficulty or trouble. refers to the impersonal path. That path is very troublesome and the fruits are temporary because even after merging into Brahman the living entity has to again take birth in the material world. Because the path is difficult and the results are temporary — it is “more trouble than its worth”.
It may be righteous, even laudable to work for the idea of complete self-sacrifice and devotion to all living entities, but unless that is in Kṛṣṇa consciousness then nothing is actually gained and everything is destroyed at the time of death. The only real benefit one living entity can give another is Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
