Only Politics Among Devotees Can Stop or Disturb Our Mission (08/28/12)

Dear _______Dāsī,

I am surprised to hear what you have said. I always think of you as a humble and sincere devotee. But Māyā is very strong and so you must be conscious not to allow Māyā to corrupt your thinking and make you proud. We are all very insignificant souls and it is only the mercy of the Supreme Lord that we are given a chance to do devotional service. Kṛṣṇa does not need our service but because He is so kind, He makes arrangements in this world so we can serve Him. We are all servants of Kṛṣṇa. I am Kṛṣṇa’s servant, ______ is Kṛṣṇa’s servant, you are Kṛṣṇa’s servant and all the devotees are Kṛṣṇa’s servant.

Kṛṣṇa wants us to accept guru so we can learn how to serve Him and the guru wants us to accept his representative. ____ is my leading representative in ____ and I humbly request you and all the devotees to assist him sincerely and follow his leadership. You are also my representative and your example to the other devotees and your preaching is also very important. But if the representative of Kṛṣṇa becomes proud, or if the representative of guru becomes proud, then Māyā will enter and everything will become spoiled.

You may remember that when I first came to _____ I promised that all our endeavors in Kṛṣṇa consciousness will be successful if the devotees remain humble and sincere. I stressed that only politics among devotees can stop or disturb our mission.

The example of Iskcon is there. After Śrīla Prabhupāda departed, then many leaders and devotees became puffed up and gradually everything was ruined and many people suffered greatly. You know this because you have seen how your own parents had to suffer.

It is a plain and simple truth that if all our devotees follow my instructions humbly and sincerely then our mission will be a great success in Mexico. Māyā is very strong so we have to safeguard our Kṛṣṇa consciousness with a conscious effort to please guru and Kṛṣṇa.

The material world is full of suffering and misery. Even when we are doing our service to Kṛṣṇa and guru we also sometimes suffer and feel misery, but because we are taking that suffering voluntarily to serve Kṛṣṇa, then that suffering is turned into bliss and happiness. So ultimately there is never suffering for a devotee if he or she remains a humble servant. Kṛṣṇa and guru are always there to protect the devotee.

Now you have sorted out your attitude to remain the humble and sincere servant of Kṛṣṇa, guru and the Vaiṣṇavas and I am very happy to hear that. GTO project is my desire so we can spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness to thousands of people in Mexico. Mexico is a great country and the people in Mexico can take to Kṛṣṇa consciousness very easily. They just need to see good examples of other Mexicano devotees to follow. I hope you are going to be a good example to all the devotees to follow. Be humble, sincere and do mucho enthusiastic seva!

Yes, it is very good that you are taking Tulasī Devī to ______. By worshiping and taking care of Tulasī, Kṛṣṇa is very pleased and our hearts become purified. Please have _____ take some photos of Tulasī in _____ and send them to me.

I am counting the days, weeks and months until i am again coming to Mexico. I am always very much missing all our devotees in Mexico. I send you my love and blessing to share with everyone.

Hoping this meets you well.

Su Padre Espiritual,
Swami Narasingha
