Only the Vaiṣṇavas Can Help Us (01/15/08)

Dear M____ Dāsa,
Hare Kṛṣṇa.

Well, my mood is one of great disappointment and sorrow, but frankly I expected as much because your association with women has rendered you weak and vulnerable to Māyā’s influence. But what to do? You are not the first or the last person who was not able to cast off the shackles of illusion.

So you will have to live with your situation and try your best within that to be somewhat Kṛṣṇa conscious and live a pure and simple life. In the beginning I warned that you would not be able to follow me and I therefore suggested that you get in contact with some other group of Vaiṣṇavas because, without proper association, you cannot make spiritual advancement. Now you have proved that my warning was warranted.

Now the same thing I suggest and that is that you try to find a group of devotees in ______ to associate with and see what Kṛṣṇa arranges.

How to do service for either me or our mission when you are so far away I do not know, but possibly G ___ Mahārāja or M___ Mahārāja will be able to suggest what you can do. I opened up my heart and everything related to that to you when you were here in India, and offered you eternal shelter with Kṛṣṇa and the Vaiṣṇavas, but instead you have opted for Māyā’s relationships that lead only to sorrow, misfortune and disappointment. But what to do? I am now also sorrowful and disappointed.

So go on with your Kṛṣṇa consciousness as best you can and try to take shelter of the Vaiṣṇavas whereever you can meet them. The Vaiṣṇavas are the mercy of Kṛṣṇa, only they can help us.

I hope this meets you well.

Śrī Rupanuga das-anudasa,
Swami BG Narasingha
