Please Guru and Kṛṣṇa! (04/18/19)

Dandavats _______ Prabhu,

Śrī Śrī Guru Gaurāṅga jayate!

Thank you for your email. I agree wholeheartedly.

Prabhupāda has said that if we please Kṛṣṇa, others will be pleased automatically. Therefore, we do not have to endeavor to please anyone independent of Kṛṣṇa. All our endeavors should be to please guru and Kṛṣṇa. When and where there is real Kṛṣṇa consciousness, it is all-attractive.

Even if only one person becomes a pure devotee of Kṛṣṇa, Prabhupāda said his mission would be successful. So what is the need to attract thousands of people who simply want to enjoy Kṛṣṇa rather than serve Kṛṣṇa?

I have not been in an ISKCON temple in over 33 years, but I have heard many strange stories. From what I have heard it seems like the Hindu influence has also become prominent in many temples. Have we become New Age Hindu Vegan Yogis (N.A.H.V.Y.)? Or are we still on the path of śuddhabhakti, Pure Kṛṣṇa Consciousness? Time will tell…

Vaiṣṇava-sevaite,

Swami Narasiṅgha
