Reinitiation is Not the Future (12/03/11)
Dear _____ Mahārāja,
You can pass on this message to _____. He does not have to reject his guru. He simply has to move forward by accepting proper śikṣā. Guru is the one who helps us the most to understand Kṛṣṇa consciousness and to be engaged in pure devotional service.
Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura was initiated by Vipina Viharī Gosvāmī, but considered Jagannātha Dāsa Bābājī as his substantial guru (sad-guru). In our small mission devotees like _____ were initiated by G_____ Maharaja, but have greater faith in me due to my guidance and thus she considers her śikṣā-guru to be the sad-guru and not her dīkṣā-guru.
Rejecting ______ Swami and getting ‘re-initiated’ is not the future. Accepting proper śikṣā, surrender and taking shelter is the way forward. Leaving iscon is also a good idea. Technically speaking (iscon law) when one leaves iscon and associates with other Vaiṣṇavas, he/she is excommunicated (severed from God and guru too).
There is a happy world of Kṛṣṇa consciousness out there – one simply has to be bold.
Try to relate the above to ______ in an encouraging way and tell him he has my blessings if he is bold enough to step forward and be Kṛṣṇa conscious.
Hoping this meets you well.
Gaura Haribol,
Swami Narasingha
