The Greatest Saṅkīrtana Safari Ever (04/19/12)

Dear C_____ Swami,
Daṇḍavats. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Yes, you were there at Delhi to meet Śrīla Prabhupāda when he flew in from Calcutta after the ’76 Gaura Pūrṇimā festival when I took sannyāsa.

I like the photo you sent and especially the ‘Safari’… it instantly reminded me of our plan to take one of the Land Rovers throughout North Africa and then cross the Mediterranean Sea and eventually make our way to India. That would have been the greatest Saṅkīrtana Safari ever!!!

Just today I was telling the devotees about some of the adventures you and I had together in Africa… and of course our unfortunate crash which changed everything. I also recounted the time in Gainesville when we went to a lecture and challenged one of the astronauts who walked on the Moon. The devotees were amazed and wanted to record everything.

Presently I am in Czech Republic and Slovakia… on my way back to India. I spent the winter in Mexico at our country retreat āśrama in Chical and our preaching center in Guanajuato. Great response always from the Mexican people. Since last year we have made 20 new devotees in Mexico.

About 25 devotees here in Czech and Slovakia but we do not have a project yet… only house programs. Our India program is of course big… it’s India. Lots of devotees and tens of thousands of guest for big festivals.

I may pass thru Florida in February 2013 on my way back to Mexico (Kṛṣṇa willing) and if possible I would certainly like to stop by and see you for an afternoon.
