The Guru is Like a Transcendental Jewel. (08/24/01)

Dear M____ Dāsa,

Hare Kṛṣṇa. Please accept my humble blessings.

I have received your vyāsa-pūjā offering and I am very happy to see your mood and understanding of Gauḍīya siddhānta.

Kṛṣṇa is the Jewel of Vṛndāvana, and He is never alone. He is always surrounded by many ‘jewel like devotees’. Similarly the guru is Kṛṣṇa’s representative and thus he may also be compared to a transcendental jewel. The guru is also not alone, because he is surrounded by his disciples who also shine like gems of transcendental wisdom and Vaiṣṇava qualities.

It is very nice that Kṛṣṇa and Śrīla Prabhupāda have sent me such sincere disciples as yourself. I am very happy to see your advancement in Kṛṣṇa consciousness and I pray that Mahāprabhu and our Guardians will bless you always.

I hope this meets you well.

Affectionately,

Swami B.G. Narasiṅgha
