The Perfection of Life (09/24/10)

Dear ______ Dāsī,

I realized today with the help of a friend that I sometimes do not show enough appreciation to those devotees (like yourself) who have always been so supportive of my preaching and dedicated to our humble mission. So, I thought its high time I wrote you a few words just to say that even though you have not been able to spend long periods of time at the āśrama, still I remember you with affection in my heart.

I read in your Vyasa-pūjā offering this year the words “Reality the Beautiful” and my mind immediately races to embrace the lotus feet of Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja. Whoever has sincere appreciation for Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja, as you do, immediately captures my heart. I don’t care for money, fame, followers, mundane love, or a long list of other things that this world has to offer. My heart’s deepest desire is to always be in the company of those fortunate devotees who have great affection for Śrīla Prabhupada, Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja and Śrīla Purī Mahārāja. That is the perfection of life.

Thank you again for your affectionate words and endearing devotion.

Gaura Haribol,

Swami Narasingha
