Understand what is not Kṛṣṇa Consciousness (07/04/19)

Śrī Śrī Guru Gaurāṅga jayate!!

Due to some illness I have not been able to answer your email until today.

We accept your proposal to become an aspiring disciple but I must warn you, many devotees say it is not easy to follow Narasiṅgha Mahārāja. And as you live outside any of our communities of devotees you will face an added difficulty of limited association. But the fact is that real association is not a physical proximity. Real association is of the heart and it is not limited by time and space. If you are sincere, Kṛṣṇa will fulfill all your desires to render pure devotional service.

Study the books of Śrīla Prabhupāda and Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja very, very closely and chant sincerely. It is not necessary to read many books or hear the opinions of many devotees. Those who follow very closely in the footsteps of their spiritual master will make real progress in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, while others will wander endlessly and never realize the Absolute Truth.

Our advancement depends upon our understanding what is not Kṛṣṇa consciousness. As Śrīdhara Mahārāja told, “Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta spent gallons for blood to explain what is not Kṛṣṇa consciousness”. When one is fit for higher realizations, those realizations will come by the grace of Kṛṣṇa. Those who try to jump ahead are self-deceivers and will forever be kept down.

If you have questions, I may answer or I may refer you to Giri Mahārāja who is my leading disciple. Such things as initiation, etc shall be for the future when you are ready, but not immediately. I suggest that thru emails that you develop a relationship with Giri Mahārāja and he will be able to help you to understand and follow what it means to be a sincere and humble disciple.
