Wandering in the jungle of mixed conceptions (07/12/12)

Dear ______,

I am not at all happy to receive your email. You do not have the time to do the simple service I gave you, but you have time to waste on the internet speculating with others on word meanings.

You have some little intelligence, but you have a weak mind and you are not fixed in devotion, or in your faith to guru and our guru-varga. If you listen to Śaṅkarācārya’s arguments on his Vedānta commentary you will believe that also, because Śaṅkara is more intelligent than you and his arguments are convincing. Therefore, Mahāprabhu says not to read what Śaṅkara says.

Intelligence itself is one of the material elements and therefore it is ultimately useless to understand Kṛṣṇa. We rely on two things – śraddhā and śaraṇāgati, faith and surrender. And we follow closely our ācāryas. We are followers of Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja and, in the words of Śrīla Purī Mahārāja, “Anyone who has a different siddhānta than Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja is not a follower of Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura.”

Do you understand our point?

Śrīdhara Mahārāja is speaking from the point of self-realization in the Absolute Truth and ______ Swami and that bunch are simply splitting hairs over word meanings. According to Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, those who say that karma is anādi (without a cause) belong to the school of karma-mimaṁsa. They are only one step away from māyāvāda or atheism.

I have no time now because I am on my way to Mumbai. You can discuss more if you like with Giri Mahārāja. But I suggest you stick with reading what Śrīdhara Mahārāja has to say on this topic and in that line continue your humble service.

You are not a giant in spiritual understanding, and if you continue to wander in the jungle of mixed conceptions then for sure one day you will be eaten by a tiger.

I am a faithful follower and servant of Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja, and it is mandatory that if you want to remain my disciple and a member of our mission that you do the same.

Hoping this meets you well.

Gaura Haribol,
Swami Narasiṅgha
