What Goes Around Comes Around (05/27/06)
Daṇḍavats G_____Mahārāja,
All glories to Śrī Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga.
No new scandals on T____ Mahārāja or anything of that sort. Its well buried and protected by now.
After G__ Mahārāja’s last correspondence with those people, B____ send an apology, of sorts. Actually we never had an intention to interview X_ Mahārāja for the Sarasvati Ṭhākura documentary, but at the time we had led V____ to believe that we did. We did so because we were, and are still trying to keep him favorable with the hope that one day he will wake up to the fact that he is in the wrong association.
After the ‘apology’ the exchange has dropped off. Had that apology not happened then G___ Mahārāja was about to bring down the roof on their house of cards. Maybe next time and there will be a next time.
About their ‘does your guru allow you to hear from higher Vaiṣṇavas?’ tactic I have not entered that fray. I have only been told that is what
they do to confuse new devotees. But none of our devotees ever meet the X_Mahārāja camp. In fact, one of X_Mahārāja’s so-called disciples from one of those mass initiations where even the airline hostess gets initiated came here, and after three years of reprogramming him on the proper path we ‘reinitiated’ him. Actually we did not consider it ‘reinitiation’ because he wasn’t really initiated in the first place (he had only been scammed, not initiated).
In the future, many people from the X_Mahārāja camp are going to have serious faith issues, they will also fight among themselves and given the number of enemies that they have created, many Vaiṣṇavas will be disinclined to show their camp any sympathy.
According to the verse that you quote in your email, it is X_Mahārāja who could be rejected because he does not respect higher Vaiṣṇavas. He leads people to believe he does, but in the end his only purpose is to use everyone and everything for his personal ambition. What goes around comes around, and one day he or his following will become subject to the same misery and deception that they have propagated.
Because I am only preaching (mostly just relaxing) in limited places here in South India. we do not encounter much of the X_Mahārāja camp. Later this year however I plan to do some preaching (more relaxing) in Europe, and if that happens then things might heat up a bit. But for now things have cooled down.
One point, and you are probably already aware of this, and that is that in an argument the X_Mahārāja’s people beg the question, smoke-screen the issue, and provide misinformation, faulty interpretations, and lies. When all is lost, they try to attack the character of their opponent with mud and according to the opinion of some Gauḍīya Maṭha people, the X_Mahārāja people will and have used physical violence when they are loosing.
Here is a quote from an email sent to me by a key disciple of G____ Mahārāja.
“They [ X_Mahārāja camp] have bought the land right beside the maṭha in Navadvīpa and they are very near to us. It is not safe for me to write anything that some of them might feel is threatening, as some of the crazy people amongst them might decide to act in a violent way against the devotees of Śrīla G___ Mahārāja. In Navadvīpa at Gaura Pūrṇimā time, I was advised by my senior godbrothers that our mission should not be seen to be acting aggressively against them, since they have set up their camp very close to the maṭha. Also, in Vṛndāvana when Śrīpāda V___ Mahārāja came to meet with Śrīla Gurudeva at the Seva Kuñja Maṭha, Śrīla G____ Mahārāja warned Śrīpāda V___ Mahārāja that these people are very dangerous. They have killed people. Their leader is a liar, a goonda and a sahajiyā. They are very
dangerous. I cannot be seen to be taking any aggressive action against them, so unfortunately I cannot help you in this way. But then I must say that personally I appreciate what yourself and the other devotees of Śrīpāda Narasiṅgha Mahārāja’s maṭha are doing to glorify Śrīla Guru Mahārāja and Śrīla Prabhupāda.”
Let me know when that ‘committee’ gets around to doing something. Before you know it, its going to be Kārttika time and soon after that you will be heading to those GBC meetings again (Why not just stay at our maṭha for a couple of months and lets make our own plans). Meanwhile, there is no united front and X_Mahārāja continues to stomp all over Iskcon.
