When a Neophyte Has Many Gurus (08/30/12)
Nice to hear from you and read the update.
I am very happy that ______ Mahārāja is coming to have a program at your house and staying for a few days.
One thing i have hesitated to mention for a long time for fear of causing some disturbance. Regarding your wife… I like to encourage her but she is not my disciple, i have not given her a name, a mantra or anything indicating that she is actually my disciple. On the other hand, she has approached ______ Mahārāja and he has given her a name, etc. This is very meaningful and important. So she should focus on the holy lotus feet of _______ Mahārāja as her supreme shelter and guidance.
Your wife is a neophyte and when a neophyte has many gurus, she will end up having no guru at all. We need to focus on our guru’s instruction and serve him… not bounce around between many gurus, following none of them and not serving any of them.
I remain a well-wisher to your wife but I do not and have never seen her as my disciple. When ______ Mahārāja is at your house I suggest that you have an open discussion between the three of you and get this point cleared up once and for all. It will be the best thing for her.
_______ Mahārāja is a great soul and I both love and respect him.
Always happy to hear from you.
