Why I wrote a Commentary to the Bhagavad-gītā (10/07/11)

In case you are wondering why I took the trouble to translate and comment on Bhagavad-gītā when Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Gitā is already there, one of my answers is this – sometime Iskcon sells us books and sometimes they don’t — depending on how far they have their head up their rectum. And in any case it is always difficult to get Prabhupāda’s original Gitā before BBTI made so many changes (I only read and recommend the original).

I cannot risk that in the future my disciples, followers and further generations will not have access to the essential knowledge that Śrīla Prabhupāda purported in Bhagavad-gītā, therefore I have done the needful for my disciples that they will always have access to the pure knowledge of Bhagavad-gītā and the mood of Śrīla Prabhupāda.

I also did my own Bhagavad-gītā because it follows in the line of a sannyāsī, disciple and life -long student of the Gītā. I do not expect any godbrother or godsister to read my Gītā (why should they?), nor to I care one way or the other.
