Dead Horses (07/09/03)

Dear S____,

Namaskaram.

These are old postings that you have sent me. Its like beating a dead horse. The dvaita.org never dies! Evil things seldom do. We call S. Rao, “Shisupal Rao” due to his continued demoniac mentality.

As far as there being some mistakes in Prabhupāda’s books due to bad editing and such, that is true. But the conclusion is perfect, Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That is there throughout Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books. That is the conclusion of all the Vedas

vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyo
vedānta-kṛd veda-vid eva cāham

But that is something that these dvaita-org people cannot understand. Unfortunate.

When Prabhupāda speaks about the moon as a star, he does so in the sense that he is referring to all heavenly bodies as stars. And at night the moon shines the brightest and therefore it represents Kṛṣṇa. He is not using the word ‘star’ in the strict sense of its scientific meaning. In India there is a Hindi word, gāḍī. A train is a gāḍī, a bullock-cart is a gāḍī, and an airplane is a gāḍī and so on. It is a general word to indicate all moving vehicles. In a similar way, Prabhupāda has used the word ‘star’ in a general sense to mean the heavenly bodies in space.

As for the ‘fifty varieties of winds blowing in space’ that is not mentioned in Prabhupāda’s original Gītā (10.21). It is however mentioned in the Gītā produced after Prabhupāda’s disappearance which was published by J____ Swami and BBT International.

In Gītā 10.21 commentary by Śrī Baladeva Vidyābhūṣaṇa it is clearly mentioned that there are fifty varieties of air in the universe (marutām ūna-pañcāśat-saṅkhyakānāṁ madhye marīcir aham). Baladeva was once a Madhvaite so it is possible that he learned it from them or from Viśvanātha. I would check the commentary of Viśvanātha, but I do not have his Gītā at hand.

Also there are ten winds or airs commonly mentioned in Vedic literature. It is also mentioned in the Vimāna Śāstra that there are 122 winds blowing in different places in space (the universe). So 10, 50, 122, or whatever’ the

conclusion in all Prabhupāda’s books is the same – Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The details are secondary. The dvaita.org just doesn’t get it! They are the worst example of envy of a pure Vaiṣṇava that I have ever seen.

The dvaita.org people are just grabbing at straws trying to undo the greatness of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s preaching work. They sit in their dark rooms and criticise, while the saṅkīrtana movement goes on gloriously all over the world. To call the dvaita.org people ‘dead horses’ is a disgrace to the living entities in horse bodies.

Swami B.G. Narasiṅgha
