I Am Living By the Grace of Our Guardians (01/28/02)

Dear V____ and G___ Dāsī,

Hare Kṛṣṇa.

I am very happy to receive your email below. I will be going to India on Monday and after my return to Vermont in March, I would like to start the process to bring yourself and G___ Dāsī to the USA.

Your plans sound good. If we can get the mercy of Kṛṣṇa, then we may all be together again very soon. That is my prayer.

The book about the pārṣadas of Mahāprabhu is authorised for you to read. I wrote the chapter about Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja. The book was also edited and designed by our devotees on the special request of Śrīla Purī Mahārāja before his passing away. So I am very happy if you read that book.

But since I myself have not yet read the Bhagavad-gītā of Śrīpāda T___ Mahārāja, I do not suggest that my disciples read that book at this time. You have many books to read and to study that will surely help you progress in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. If you understand them well then you can never be defeated by any opposing elements in this life or the next.

The books of Śrīpāda T____ Mahārāja may be very fine for his disciples to read, but it is the duty of a guru to guide his disciples and I have not felt the inspiration to guide you to read the books of Śrīpāda T___ Mahārāja.

I hope that you can understand and accept these simple points. I am living by the grace of our Guardians and I want all my disciples to learn likewise. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me.
