Two Gurus in One Household Will Be Disastrous (07/02/11)

Dear P_____,

K____ Swami wrote a reply to my email to him.

Basically K____ Swami remains fixed that V____ cannot do service at any of our programs, but he did not say in his email that she had to run away to another house when you come there. In any case K____ Swami’s instructions make no Kṛṣṇa conscious sense to me at all. His instruction is simply society consciousness and above all, iscon at the center.

I know that V____ is a sincere woman, but she will not be able to maintain the instructions given by K____ Swami if she is not allowed to serve freely at the programs in her house.

In my way of preaching Kṛṣṇa consciousness, it could have been different and V____ could have been made to feel very welcome in our sanga and respect shown to her guru, but it is sad that K____Swami’s instructions make that quite impossible.

So now I request you to please communicate to L___ that two gurus in their household such as K____Swami and myself will ultimately be disastrous for them. They should both have the same guru. For the ultimate good my suggestion is that V____ follow her husband. I know also that following her husband means trouble for her at work and for iscon but that situation is created by them and not by me. It is sad, but that is the way iskcon has become. In whatever way L____ and V____ finally decide, I give them my full blessings. May Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu be their guide.

K____Swami has said he would write V___ today so soon this matter may come to a conclusion.

Gaura Haribol,
Swami Narasiṅgha
