We are Exclusive in our Association (10/19/13)

Dear Swami ______,

I was quite surprised to see your lengthy message here on Facebook. I do not recall all that took place between us over ten years ago, but for me it is something long in the past. No hard feelings here toward you, but regretfully there is no desire to kindle a relationship with you either.

It so happens that neither I nor your ex-godbrothers and sisters see the events of the past as you do. Frankly they are put off by the past and want no further connection or communication with the persons or mission involved. It is a matter of fact that these things happened, but with quite different perspectives and feelings depending on your position, involvement, etc.

What I am saying here is that no member of my mission bears you any ill-wishes, but neither do any of us seek a personal relationship, association or contact with your Holiness. I did not realise that ‘Swami ______’ was you otherwise it is doubtful that I would have included you as a friend on Facebook. You belong to an exclusive movement and so do we. We are exclusive in our association and we do not seek extended association in the modern Vaiṣṇava world.

There is no question of your having made an offence to me. We do not see what happened as an offence, but nonetheless actions between devotees are sometimes  very distasteful, even without being an aparādha. Once burnt, twice shy!

From a distance we wish you all the best in your preaching and Kṛṣṇa conscious endeavors.

Gaura Haribol,
Swami Narasingha
