Become Free From the Sin of False Flattery (11/11/01)

Daṇḍavats R___Bābā,
Hare Kṛṣṇa.

I finally got back online.

One thing disappoints me – you mentioned that you wanted to visit me in South India on this trip, but that you were disappointed that I would not be there. So I called ___ Mahārāja and insisted that he spend a couple of days to bring you here to our āśrama and serve you and those traveling with you. But then Mahārāja informed me that you had no intention of visiting our āśrama and that in fact, your tickets were booked long ago to fly into Sivakasi and then turn around and head straight back to Purī or North India.

Really, I hate it when you shower me with these false sentiments like, “Oh Mahārāja, we were really wanting to visit you, but it’s our misfortune that you will not be there.” This type of flattery is just BS and I hate it!

So if you want to free yourself from the sins of false flattery, then you will have to visit my āśrama in South India within the next one year and give our devotees a chance to show their appreciation to you and to your Guru Mahārāja’s mission. Am I clear on this point???

I hope this meets you well.

Praṇāms,
Swami B.G. Narasiṅgha
