Calendar Calculations and Over-Intelligence (12/20/08)

In the time of Śrīla Prabhupāda we accepted that India was the center of the universe and we only followed calandar dates according to India. When devotees started calculating different dates (pāraṇa, etc) according to the moon in their locations, Prabhupāda said it was “over-intelligent.” It seemed simple to me – keep the eye on the center. India is the center of the universe and the holy dhāma is the center of the spiritual world.
