Give up all nonsense and follow the guru’s instructions (03/30/14)

Dear _____Dāsa,

What I said was…in Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu, there is a commentary that says, “After accepting the spiritual master, within few days one should become a pure devotee.”

This means that one should give up all his nonsense and simply follow the instructions of the spiritual master. One who 100% follows the instructions of a pure devotee is himself considered a pure devotee. This is also confirmed in a letter by Śrīla Prabhupāda in 1972. I do not have that letter or book with me at this time.

I am returning to India in a few weeks and when i return i will send you the exact quote. Just send me an email as a reminded in three weeks time.

Without the grace of a pure devotee of Kṛṣṇa, it is not possible to attain the ultimate goal of life, love for Kṛṣṇa.

Hope you are well.

Swami Narasiṅgha
