I Am Making Adjustments of My Own (04/02/02)

Hare Kṛṣṇa.

Please excuse me, but I forgot to mention that there will be a problem with your gāyatrī-mantras henceforth. As per my memory, I had given you Gadādhara-mantra and Gadādhara-gāyatrī which we received via the grace of Śrīla Purī Mahārāja — this will now be a problem for you as a disciple of Śrīla G____ Mahārāja. So just to have all your necessary mantras properly and the lotus feet of your guru fixed in your heart, you should give up chanting the mantras that I gave you and request Śrīla G____ Mahārāja to give you the mantras again as he sees fit. You should also kindly not chant the praṇāma-mantra chanted by my disciples. Of course, you may have already stopped chanting those mantras, so please excuse my arrogance if that be the case.

Even if you did not intend to change any of the items that I have mentioned, it is all inevitable in the near future anyway due to your having come in such connection. Now you should move ahead and become wholesale situated where you have placed a first step.

As for continuing in Hawaii for some months more, I see no real benefit in that either. It is better that you return to the lotus feet of your guru immediately (service to our guru is the be all and end all of our existence). Anything to do with the videos of Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja I can take care of myself. Of course R__ and G___ may have another necessity and want you to continue what you are doing for the present. In any case, I would prefer that you should return to Navadvīpa, or at least to the āśrama of Śrīla G____ Mahārāja in California. I am sure that they will then help you to reach you service destination in Govardhaan.

I am going to speak with R____ personally and suggest that you go at least up to Śrīla G___ Mahārāja’s āśrama in California before I get to Hawaii on May 19th.

Kindly understand – you have initiated certain moves and decisions of your own and now I am also making a few adjustments of my own.
