I Cannot Bring Myself to Read Such Nonsense (05/01/01)

Daṇḍavats T____ Dāsa Prabhu,

Hare Kṛṣṇa.

What is in those emails that you sent me will have to remain there forever. I cannot bring myself to read such nonsense and abuse of a humble Vaiṣṇava as yourself. I looked at some words in a few paragraphs and I can understand that we are talking with a mad woman, or a non-devotee, or both?

But, as I said on the phone, this woman could be dangerous to her physical self. As for her spiritual life, I think that is already destroyed.

The humble devotees in my āśrama have nothing to do whatsoever with the madness of this women, so please do not think for a moment that a single word is ever spoken bad of you by them. The devotees are simply tolerating her madness with the hope that I will somehow arrange a plan for her to leave our āśrama and never come back.

If you want to show your great kindness and accept this devotee in your shelter once again, then that is your choice. But as far as we are concerned, we will have no further dealings with this person, ever.

Because I fear that this woman could do something really dumb and hurt herself physically, I am not giving her very strong words of chastisement. I have, however told her directly that her words, etc. are not acceptable and that I do not at all relate to her mood.

But I will not be in further contact with her until R____ returns to the āśrama.

In short, I would be happy if she would just go away to Vṛndāvana or somewhere and never return. But unfortunately, for everyone, bad dreams are usually more persistent.

I will keep you informed of what’s happening next.

I hope this meets you well.

Praṇāms,

Swami B.G. Narasiṅgha
