Take solace in the cries of protest (01/14/14)

_____ mentioned to me that you said to him that you had revealed your plan for sannyāsa to ____ and that she was shocked.

Well, I guess that was to be expected but I hope you can find the determination to follow thru without much change in the time frame, etc.

I am sure that when Mahāprabhu took sannyāsa and when Prabhupāda took sannyāsa, as well as many others, that there were tears and even cries of protest. Take that as your solace and continue on your path.

It is undignified for a man to remain in household life until death comes. While he still has life he should embrace the code and dedicate his life with body, mind, words and soul to the service of Hari, guru and the Vaiṣṇavas.

It is something you have believed in and dreamed of your whole adult life, so even if there is resistance — at your age, both your guru and God Himself wants to to fulfill your dream.

Hold tight and keep to the course.
