The Saints are a Living Conception (04/12/17)

Daṇḍavats,
Here is something you might find interesting.
As it turns out, or so it seems from our present research, Jīva Gosvāmī did not draw his brahma-gāyatrī commentary to rādhā-dāsyam. We have his commentary and are translating it. He took the conception only as far as the Kṛṣṇa conception and only used the name of Viṣṇu in his commentary. Of course, in those days the name Viṣṇu in Gauḍīya circles was synomous with Kṛṣṇa,  as in the tulasī prayers (“viṣṇu-bhakti prade devī”)

So, the happy news is that Śrīla Guru Mahārāja (Śrīla Śrīdhara Mahārāja) may have been the first to write a commentary to Brahma-gayatri and draw out rādhā-dāsyam.

The saints are a living conception. Unfortunately, ISCON has chosen to bury the saints, relegating the true saints only to the past. Both ISCON and the Ṛtviks have fallen prey to that ghostly understanding.

When the line is dead there can be no progress beyond nāmābhāsa. An institution with money, blind followers, beautiful women and devotional ignorance is all there can be.

Ignorance is bliss where wisdom is folly….
