Higher Truth Rarely Reveals itself to the Masses. (04/27/01)

G____ Mahārāja,

Hare Kṛṣṇa.

D_____ will hang around that group for a few years, until the party atmosphere gets old, and then he will retire to the usual life of sense-enjoyment.

The Vraja-bhāva article was just the tip of the iceberg that is coming their way. If I was not so busy, I would write one hundred more articles just like the Vraja-bhāva article. In fact, that is a good idea – one hundred articles, or at least one good book, cutting the araṇya of misconception. Please let P____ Dāsa know that we will not give in to the cheap imitation of the so-called ‘rasika camp’. We are determined to follow our Guardians properly.

There are big numbers of devotees in the ‘rasika‘ camp, but numbers have never proven a good pramāṇa. Higher truth rarely reveals itself to the masses. The ‘mob’ is not the proper assembly for higher topics.

But their excuse about Mīrābāi is really lame. Check that Mīrābāi song in their song book. It is not about Mahāprabhu and even if it were, that means little to nothing. Only one song and one mention of Mahāprabhu – that is hardly what I call the bona fide line of Śrī Jīva Gosvāmī.

Please communicate all these thing to P____. It is nice for him to have your association. I will also write P____ a brief note.

With Affection,

Swami B.G. Narasiṅgha
